6. Court support for extremist and neo-Nazi activities in America.
Beyond the political connections among Cornwell and right-wing
Republicans, there is in the Cornwell case a strong explicit factor of
Nazi-ism, the following of the fascist ideas of Nazi leader Adolf
Hitler. The Cornwell scandal very specifically involves furthering
neo-Nazi ideas and practices.
Across the world right now, there is debate as to whether America is
now becoming the world's new totalitarian power, that is a successor
to the moral degeneracy of Hitler's Nazi empire. Regrettably, the
Patricia Cornwell scandal is evidence that this kind of pro-Nazi
transformation is underway in America.
The federal judge in the Cornwell scandal is explicitly quoted by his
friends, as being a direct admirer of Adolf Hitler, and as disliking
Jews, gays and intellectuals, just like any Nazi. The judge was quoted
as even despising Cornwell herself for her lesbianism, though willing
to overlook this trait in light of her ample campaign contributions
and gifts to the "right" political people. But the Nazi aspects of the
Cornwell scandal are much more direct than the judge's personal
politics.
The key turning points of the Cornwell scandal, are those relating to
Nazi-style activities by Patricia Cornwell and her lawyers, and my
attempt to fight back against those Nazi-style threats.
If you ever have a chance to meet with Patricia Cornwell and talk with
her for a number of hours, you will find that she is an extremely
death-obsessed character, sometimes talking as if she were a member of
Hitler's legions. She talks with ghoulish glee about the "thousands"
of dead bodies she has seen.
Patricia Cornwell's conversation, as well as the contents of her
books, are filled with a dark obsession with themes of power,
violence and death. She is a very bitter woman, and it is obvious that
Cornwell takes pleasure in the devious exercise of power. She loves
the political influence over America$B!G(Bs government that she has bought
with her campaign contributions, gifts and bribes. And there is no
bigger icon of the cult of power, than Hitler$B!G(Bs Nazi regime, for
Cornwell to follow.
Cornwell's love for power and intimidation, was well understood and
exploited by her lawyers as they set up the Cornwell scandal. Indeed,
the Cornwell scandal embodies several of the key elements of
Nazi-style government: The banning of free speech; the staging of fake
and rigged "show trial" court proceedings; the laughable twisting and
denial of the truth; the use of criminal thugs to carry out government
objectives; the crushing and silencing of writers and intellectuals;
and most distinctively Nazi of all, the Nazi practice of book-burning.
In the early 1930's, Adolf Hitler's Nazis made government-supported
book-burning one of the key symbolic actions of the Nazi regime, a
symbol which still horrifies the world to this day.
And now, the destroying of books and the defacing of books, have been
consistently threatened, supported, and advocated by Patricia
Cornwell, her lawyers, and the federal judge who is quoted as admiring
Adolf Hitler. They advocated book-burning in writing, and also lied
about this at times to cover up for these neo-Nazi statements and
threats. It is a key element of this entire Patricia Cornwell show
trial scandal.
On February 1, 2000, Patricia Cornwell, through her lawyers, faxed me
a letter demanding my silence about Cornwell and the book-burning
destruction of my published books, to eliminate any criticisms of her,
or even anything which Cornwell felt "implied" criticisms of her.
For me, it was this terribly offensive Nazi-style demand of
book-burning and of my silence, that led me to publicly criticize
Patricia Cornwell. Many years earlier, I had helped to teach a course
at Harvard University about Hitler's Nazi regime, and about the moral
duties all people have to oppose Nazi and fascist activities.
Moreover, I have, among the many various ethnic mixtures in my
background, a small amount of eastern European Jewish blood, and I am
distantly related to some of Adolf Hitler's holocaust victims. My
mother was part of Nazi slave labor.
For me, it was important to fight back against the neo-Nazi activities
of Patricia Cornwell and her lawyers. Using the front cover of my
mystery novel as my newspaper to the world, I put a sticker on my
books denouncing these neo-Nazi threats of Cornwell.
But the United States federal judge, who is quoted as admiring Adolf
Hitler, said I must be silenced and jailed if I ever dare to express
my anti-Nazi views against the wealthy Patricia Cornwell.
The April, 2000 lawsuit filed against me by Patricia Cornwell and her
lawyers, continued to demand a Nazi-style book-burning, the
destruction of my books, as part of the legal action requested from
the federal judge.
In the May, 2000 court hearing, in which the federal judge formalized
the banning of my freedom of speech for the rest of my life, the judge
specifically declared that he approved of all the book-destroying
threats and demands of Patricia Cornwell and her lawyers. The judge
ordered that I be jailed, if I ever again tried to criticize these
Nazi threats of book-burning by the Cornwell gang.
The judge ordered the public defacing and destruction of the covers of
my books that referred to Patricia Cornwell. The federal judge, with
his own fingers, began destroying the cover of one of my books right
there in the courtroom, just as if he himself was some kind of
extremist thug. The judge appeared sadistically thrilled with his
ability to silence a writer and intellectual, as he took personal
action himself to physically destroy a writer's book, crushing and
wiping out a writer$B!G(Bs expression of anti-Nazi ideas.
Very sadly, the Cornwell show trial scandal shows that the ideas of
Adolf Hitler have a new life now in America$B!G(Bs legal system. The cult
of naked fascist power embodied in Hitler, is now an explicit model
used by American judges and lawyers.
The Cornwell scandal shows that even some of the most disturbingly
outlandish and offensive symbols of Hitlerism - like book-burning -
are now being upheld, supported and enacted by US federal courts. The
