o to your nearest lawyer and tell him/her this story.
Go to the D.A.'s office if you have to to complain about the police.
File a citizen's complaint against the peace officers who refused to take
your report.
Have a PI see if they can get these individuals' statements on tape (best to
have an "independent" person talk to the witnesses who say that this person
is saying bad things about your son)
First of all I'm a disabled person in his mid 40's who just had
Interthecal
Pain pump surgery about three weeks ago, I've been disabled since 1991,
I'm
a married father of two boys ages 17 and 9 and a daughter age 7.
Last night while going over to my local pop Warner football team on which
my
oldest son played for since he was 9 until he finished JR High School and
now my youngest son played last year.
My oldest Son is the starting QB and Safety for the local High school
state
champs, is on the national honor roll and is being pursued by several top
colleges and has a perfectly clean police record (never ever been in
trouble).
Myself I have also never even been in trouble not even a speeding ticket
and
my youngest so who is also an honor roll student who is enrolled in the
TDP
(talent development program) they call it different things in different
area's.
Anyway I wanted to give you our backgrounds because as of yesterday
everything was fine and dandy here, when I brought my youngest son into
the
team to pick up his equipment to start the new year I also had my oldest
son
and youngest daughter with me as I usually do, I was told last years head
coach was now an assistant coach and last years assistant coach who barely
knew anything about football (they allowed him to run the kickoff and
return
teams) is now the head coach.
I asked how this happened and was told by another assistant coach that the
new league president was his best friend. No matter to me I said, my sons
earn their way any way, we don't want any special treatment any way, so I
walk up to him to tell him we were there and to pick up the equipment and
turn in the paperwork and I was rudely told that now my son was at the
bottom of the waiting list for the team and the team was full?
I looked around and saw maybe 18 kids and asked where was this full team
he
was talking about? he told me rudely that I need not worry about this and
to get the hell out of there, and I turned around again and took a step
closer to him to ask him what was going on and that why he didn't want my
son on his team as my son was one of the better players on the team the
previous year and all of a sudden I'm being assaulted by this new head
coach, I'm being punched three times and I'm tripping over this other guys
leg, I see him as I'm falling down, then I'm being stomped and kicked in
the
place where I have just had my staples removed from my surgery and once in
my chest.
Other people broke this up and I'm feeling severe pain in my side where
the
pump is and in my chest where I'm bruised. then all of a sudden this guy
is
running around screaming " did you see that he sucker punched me, he
sucker
punched me" then his friend whose leg I tripped over started joining in
saying " Yes I saw the whole thing"
Well with me being handicapped and just having this surgery there is "NO
WAY" I could have ever done anything like that to a normal person never
mind
hitting this guy where he said I hit him. I'm 5' 10" tall and this guy
must
be at least 6' 3" tall and he's trying to say that I hit him in the side
of
the head. he has no mark what so ever on him, I have bruises to my side,
chest and I'm bleeding on my leg.
He calls the police and while we are waiting for them to show up he goes
through the little bunch of parents who were there talking to them, when
the
police arrive all of a sudden he has a group of him, his friend and 2
parents who swear they saw the whole thing and that I hit him first.
Simply amazing, of course these parents are people I have never seen
before
and must be new people and probably friends or relatives of his??
Any way, the police come over to talk to me, they complete do not care
that
I'm disabled, that I have just had surgery, that I have an internal pump
inside my body and bruises all around it where he kicked me or a bruise on
my chest which now is beginning to show as the outline of his sneaker or
that my leg is streaming blood or the fact that he does not have one mark
on
his body at all. I also have a card that I'm supposed to give to the
police, rescue etc if I'm ever in such a situation.
All they told me was that what I'm saying is falling on deaf ears and that
as long as he has a witness to what happened I'm wrong and he is right.
It
does not matter what I say or what condition I'm in?
Anyway the guy elects not to press charges on me and the police go away.
Imagine that. I go home and call the state police and tell them what
happened and they tell me to go back to the station and file a supplement
report and have them take pictures of my injuries.
So I do what they say but one of the officers who handled the original
call
came back to the station and flat out told me that he would not do
anything
for me, that there was no original report filed and that he would not file
any kind of supplement report and that he did not see any injuries on me,
had no idea what I was talking about when I told him I was disabled or
that
I was kicked or that I had recently had surgery. In other words he flat
out
lied and or just did not listen to me earlier when I tried to tell them my
side of the story like they did say "what I was saying was falling on deaf
ears"
Today right after we woke up we hear a banging on our front door, it was
the
Police, I see them and I think that the guy had gone back on his promise
to
not file assault charges against me, but this time they were looking for
my
oldest son, he goes out to talk to them and they ask for me, so I go out
and
they tell me that my son is being accused of vandalism for throwing eggs,
rocks and potatoes against the guys truck at 1:30AM, that my son and three
other kids drove buy this guys house and my son and another kid were seen
by
this other guy hanging out of the truck personally that the guy personally
made "eye contact with my son who got a horrific look on his face and his
jaw dropped" but this guy cannot say anything about the other kid who was
hanging out of the truck, the color of the truck, what kind of truck it
was
or the license plate # of the truck. In this case as well as the other
this
guy has also declined to press any charges.
