How do you fire appointed counsel?

In a federal criminal case an appointed lawyer or his investigator
disclosed confidential work product to the FBI. The defendant is being
sentenced to additional time based on this disclosure in accordance
with federal sentencing guidelines. How does an indigent federal
defendant one month prior to sentencing, with difficult to prove
allegations, dismiss his counsel and receive new appointed counsel?
Please email me with any suggestions, thanks.

You hire an attorney to represent you and fire the court appt. attny.
Simple really.
You are entitled to legal representation. You are not entitled to legal
representation you like.
Your MSG is not clear. If the attorney was under an obligation to
inform the Court of ????, then you may be mis-characterizing what happened.

Firing appointed counsel is a trick used to delay trial. Jailhouse lawyers
pick up on this quickly. It's often used when 1) a defendant is already in
jail and there is no chance that he will get out soon or 2) he's gonna fry.
Typically, the defendant hopes witnesses will disappear or evidence will get
lost if trial is delayed long enough.
Not sure on the exact motion that must be filed, however. Look in the
Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure for starters.
