Abuse of discretion in voire dire

Can anyone provide a citation (any US jurisdiction) to a case that discusses
judicial abuse of discretion in the voire dire process? My state (NH) is
going to permit attorney voire dire as of Jan. 1, 2005, and I would like to
have an idea of the limits other states have imposed on their judges in this
area.

Abuse of discretion in what aspect of voir dire? There are many issues that
could come up in voir dire, some of which are reviewed by an abuse of
discretion standard, so you should try to narrow your question if possible.

ANY case that discusses the issue of abuse of discretion by a judge with
respect to ANY aspect of voire dire, whether the it's about the judge
imposing too narrow or broad a scope of inquiry by counsel or the judge
him/herself, the judge failing to find bias or seeing bias everywhere, etc.
Basically I am looking for a primer on what the judge's obligations are and
where the lines of authority are for any exercise of discretion. If you
know of a case that involved abuse of discretion (or the lack thereof) and
voire dire, by all means please post it.

Google with search terms "voir dire" abuse discretion returns 15,900
hits, of which all of the first 100 are either review articles,
summaries of state rules, or appellate cases in which abuse of
discretion during voir dire was at issue.
Go thou and do likewise.
