Not me. The only False Claims Act I know about concerns false claims against the government, not false claims by the government. McGyver

False Claims Act suggest perpetrating a fraud upon the federal government. These are generally handled by a Qui Tam action. There are specialists in Qui Tam lawsuits. What are the facts ,,,,,,, before you waste loads of your time and the attorney's time? Joel

Right that's the City as a Home Rule Municipality they are an entity stealing public funds under false pretenses, FAA Officers are engaged in 42 USC 1985 Actions and SBA officers who sold us the land the airport is not built on at a minimum are involved in violations of Title 18 and Title 28. Facts are I have a CIII CIV Industrial Airport Built in my yard which is telling me it was never built. I have Environmental Reports done for Airport Expansion which I was just told the author committed suicide and took all the records with him, the city has no records to back up where the Federal Grants they received for their Airport Master Plan went, FAA under the table gave the city 90 days to correct their records in 2001 the trail stops at that letter. City just annexed us saying we do not own the air above our property and that we are being inundated with smoke noise an vapor, but that's our fault for buying property to close to their airport. When we bought the land the Runway next to us was 15 when we started finding out about the false maps and records FAA made the City Alter designation to 16, that's closer to my home. According to the Master Plan I do not exist, the nearest residence is at the south end of the airport and about 3/4' of a mile away from the airport. My house is with in 550 feet of the Runway, and until I found out about it listed as "Inside the Building Restriction Line" when we found out about that the city told us they are not running that airport and can reduce the line at will and did to 500 feet. OK False Claims act means rendering a false invoice to the U.S. government against monetary claims. "False Claims" does not refer to lying. In fact, lying is not a crime unless you are perhaps lying to the FBI when they are investigating some crime, or lying on the stand in a court proceeding ~ that's perjury of course. Businessmen and ordinary people lie all the time. Government people lie even more. So, step one is to assess damages. You need to prove that your own interests, business, health or otherwise have been damaged. Next you need to establish whether they have the "right" to use the air space above your house. So, why not call your Bar Association and get a consultation to see if there is some attorney who is interested in this on a contigency basis. That will tell you if you have a case or not. False Claims Act? Nah. Lawsuit? Maybe. PS- and disclaimer - I am not a lawyer, I just play one on TV. Could be! But you will never interest a qui tam attorney in taking this on. They follow the money. Who is defrauded? Where has the U.S. government lost money? Once a case is established "in chambers" the U.S. Attorney can then join the case or reject it. Does your case fit? I thought this was about "air rights?" Are you talking about False Advertising? Because the False Claims Act action is usually brought by a public entity against an individual who submitted a false claim against them.
Anybody know a good attorney for bringing a false claims Act action against a City and or FAA??
