"Indirect" contact with victim

I've seen the phrase "no direct or indirect contact with victim" on a
recent bond order. The direct part I think is pretty well
self-defined, but what normally constitutes *indirect* contact?

Causing contact with the victim....
Hopefully the victim has the sense to get a concealed carry permit.

Nope, not yet. The victim is only 14, and the "indirect contact" is
occurring by the perpetrator yelling at the victim's family members
when the victim is present.

That's not indirect: indirect is through an intermediary, and there's
no intermediary in what you describe. That's direct contact, the way I
see it.
