JPFO Alert: Legislation of Interest to Gun Owners
On May 11, 2005 -- the day after "The End of America"
(http://www.jpfo.org/alert20050511.htm) -- the U.S. House
of Representatives passed bill HR 1279 by a margin of 279-
144. Called "The Gang Deterrence and Community
Protection Act of 2005," the bill could have serious repercussions
for gun owners who use a firearm in self-defense.

of legislation and we do not urge members or supporters to
take any particular actions on pending legislation. If
