Covered by Sarbanes-Oxley Act?

My former employer is a publically traded company.
They entered into a contract with another publically traded company.
Our company did not meet the requirements of our contract, however
paperwork was falsified and false statements were given to the client.
I was let go because I refused to sign my name to falsified reports.
Am I obligated to report the falsifications since neither company is a
government agency?
I don't want through the hassle and get my name smeared unless I'm
legally obligated to.
Thanks!
