I had an ex-boyfriend call me up. He said he knew I was going thru a
bad time and he wanted to get back together. He quoted several parts
of my medical records word for word (I was recently diagnosed with
breast cancer). He knows the tests performed and the dates.
Obviously, I need a lawyer. But right now I want to find out who gave
my medical records to this loser. There must be some kind of central
repository for medical records. How do I contact them? Do they keep
records of who accesses what medical records?
What laws have been violated in this case? I need your advice.
