Many of you know that these two got accused of looking for artifacts in
a place they weren't supposed to. The short of it was when it was proved
beforehand (Their lawyer asked the charges be dropped since they proved
they weren't where they were accused of being..) that they weren't there
the prosecutors merely changed the charges to be more general. Read up
on the case. It stinks. I talked to Bob for quite a while tonight and
the worst part was where the park ranger said they were tied to selling
these artifacts to a particular website. The judge actually scolded the
guy in the court room for not having a spec of evidence to support his
claims. These guys give shows in schools with their finds. Talk about
twisting it.
Many strange things transpired during the case and if they had gotten
good representation it would have never gotten where it went. At this
point they need to get an appeal together and do it quickly. I'm not
sure who follows these forums but I've gotten some fine legal advice on
occasion here. I'm hoping one of you out there know what is needed at
least in the short run to file a federal appeal. I believe they have a
couple thousand dollars in their defense fund at this moment. They need
some advice and some direction to an attorney that understands these
proceedings. Most of the time my friends who were attorneys always told
me which attorneys did what and who was best. If any of you know someone
to ask now is the time. I am also going to ask you if you have a wish to
help out financially on this case it sure would be welcomed. I am
attaching a paste of part of an email I got tonight in the middle of
this post where you can send anything you might want to help out with.
Any advice would also be welcomed. It fills you in with what has to be
done next. In this case immediately.
I know many of you follow politics. There's a reason the pro life people
aren't reasonable about partial birth abortion. They feel it's the first
step. There's a reason the NRA doesn't want assault weapons banned. It's
the first step. Right or wrong there is always a first step. If you like
to detect you better give this a good read. You're actually up to bat
here. You may not realize it yet but I assure you that you are.
Now it is time for their APPEAL. They will appeal the keeping of their
equipment, being charged with a crime and any precedent this case might
set in the future. They will have to appeal their case in New Orleans
before three appellate judges. It will cost approximately $10,000.00 to
make this appeal if early estimates on legal fees are correct. Someone
out there might be able to change this. We're hoping you're out there.
They are now working on a attorney to at least file a "motion of
appeal", then they will be looking to find the attorney Bob and Ed want
to defend them in court and he will have to file a "Cause for an Appeal"
to the court. After this they will have some time to work on the appeal
with the attorney and prepare the case for Bob and Ed. They are allowed
10 days to file a "Motion of Appeal" after their sentencing. They will
hire a different attorney to represent them in this Appeal. Ed's 10 days
have not started yet because of the pending decision on his truck, it
will be next week when that is answered.
Bob's 10 days started yesterday.
Bob and Ed need your help and support. Please if you can, send them
whatever you can to help them with this cost.

Bob and Ed dearly thank each of you for any and all support, they may
not of known you until now, but they will never forget you. PLEASE help
if you can.. I know where I'd be if I was unable to afford the ability
to defend myself when I was innocent. It wouldn't be a very good feeling.
I lent my name to this appeal for a reason. I believe what has happened
to them is wrong. Please help.
And please... Explain it to me why Keith Wills has gotten so much hell
for helping these guys. I'm just blown away by the nonsense I've seen
lately. My email will be working to both forward anything or read why
I'm wrong on this.
