| Mechanics Lien: priority disputes between lenders and lien claimants |
I did the framing labor for a new home, but the owner/contractor
shorted me $2800. I filed a Mechanics Lien for $2800 and started
foreclosure. Legal costs plus our lien are now at $10,000 . The
property owner, after 9 months, filed a Release of Lien

Last weekend my car starts having issues starting when warm and
stalling. Get an appointment with the dealer to investigate.
Drop the car off, talk to the woman at front desk, tell her the

I signed a contract for improvmenents to a building I own with a local
contractor. The improvements were principally flooring, tile work and
some finish carpentry. I paid him in installments with a 1/3 at the
contract signing and 1/3 at the midway poin

If a mechanic's lien has past the 90 days limit, thereby voiding the
lien, then is there any reason to have to file a "Petition for Decree
Releasing Property From Lien"? Isn't the lien entirely powerless now?

My S Corp provided some kitchen remodeling work for a client. The price of
3200. was verbally agreed upon and the client paid 1000. up front. It has
been 5 weeks and he has not paid. (I do have an email - 10 days ago- from
him promising to send payment
