Hi, I'm about to begin initiating a living trust for my estate. I'd guess total assets would be in the 700 to 900K range. My plans are to use Quicken Willmaker then take the results to a competent estate planning attorney (it'll cause me to prepare the information prior to visiting the attorney, hopefully saving time/money). Additionally, I'm wondering whether or not to have a relative administer the trust in the event of my death or to have an attorney perform the task. I see an advantage in having an attorney administering the trust as my son's mother would likely attempt to spend money that should go to him (not married to the mother) vs. having him receive the money as needed (a minor, no lump sum payment to him, would need to be managed). I realize it's difficult to say but typically, what would be the attorney fee (estimate) for administering a living trust for an estate valued less than $1 million? b.
