I moved out of an apartment in California in September. My rent was payed in full, gave them 30 days notice and I left the apartment in good condition. I am still waiting for my security deposit. The apartment manager has been giving me the run-around

What happens when the estate of a person (A) sues person (B) for wrongful death, and B is A's sole heir (that is, B sues him/herself and collects if found reponsible for A's death)? Isn't that profiting from a crime (manslaughter or homicide)?

Is a bank account held jointly by two people with a survivor arrangement (specifies on the bank paperwork that upon the death of one of the account-holders, ownership goes to the other person) part of a deceased's estate, or is it, like life insurance
