Threatened law suit in FL, moving to MD
I have been dealing with someone who is threatening to sue me unless I pay them $300. While I agree that I owe this person money, the $300 was not a reasonable fee. I have tried to negotiate, but this person continues to be unreasonable. No suit h

Can a Power of Attorney (POA) be used retroactively, to make a decision after the principal has died but which could have been made while they were alive? I understand that a POA terminates upon death of the principal but I think my question might

Question about living trust.
For me and my wife this is a second marriage. We have children from previous marriages. No common kids. We bought a home recently. We, both, want to be sure that, in case of death of one of us, or both, home would be sold and money be divided equally

Changing a Will
My Mom wishes to make a simple change to her will, basically changing $20,000 to $50,000. Does she need a whole new will or just some kind of amendment?

Advise on strategies to file a small claim court to collect a loan made to a non citizen (foreign student)
I made a loan out to a foreign student about a year ago... The agreement is that the loan is to be repaid within a year and is now overdue... I talked to a few friends about filing a claim in small claims court but all told me that would be fruitless
