I have been dealing with someone who is threatening to sue me unless I
pay them $300. While I agree that I owe this person money, the $300
was not a reasonable fee. I have tried to negotiate, but this person
continues to be unreasonable.

I am look at going to law school during the evening after I graduate

I made a loan out to a foreign student about a year ago... The
agreement is that the loan is to be repaid within a year and is now
overdue... I talked to a few friends about filing a claim in small
claims court but all told me that would be fruitless
