I have a small question regarding the purpose of LLC
(Article II) on Articles of Organization. I already started
my own IT consulting company as LLC in Michigan. While I was
filling the Articles of Organization for my company, I wrote
"Information Technology Development and Business
Consulting". Even though my company is already setup with
this purpose, I found an opportunity to do international
trade which has nothing to do with IT. What I would like to
find out is if I need to submit any documentation to the
State of Michigan to broaden the purpose of my LLC. How
important is the Article II? Do I really need to give an
update to Michigan or can just go ahead and operate in a
different industry with my LLC? Thank you in advance for
