If you appear in a Habeas Corpus proceeding (regarding a child) where there is a specific statute that provides immunity in the state to that purpose during the course of the proceeding, even though the proceeding may be continued to hear additional evidence, does the immunity provision apply to ONLY the first appearance, or to ALL appearances in which the evidence for which the habeas is being heard? Also, can a judge "decide" that the appearance constitutes a general appearance (when the proceeding is titled as a Habeas, the judge is the one who chooses to contine the hearing, and at the second hearing ignore the immunity provision? I know about the habeas immunity, but confused as to how it can be lost in subsequant appearances to present evidence. 127001
