Subpoena Pysch Records for Divorce?

I have been under treatment for many years for bipolar. All is well, I am
very stable and have been for years.
I am going through a divorce and my wife's attorney has subpoenaed my
medical records and my psychiatrist. This is OK because I was going to ask
him to testify for me anyway, and now she has to pay his fees. But I
thought at the time I was talking to him what I said was protected UNLESS it
involved child abuse or risk of FUTURE crimes.
For example, I thought if I told my psychiatrist of a crime I committed in
the past, that was protected. When my doctor testifies can he refuse a
question and site patient doctor privilege, and only divulge information
that isn't protected.

This may be slightly off-topic, but I will ask the question.
Have you considered settling out of court? What exactly are you
hoping to gain by going to court?
In this day and age, marriages only last as long as BOTH parties are
willing to be married to each other. It sounds like your wife does not
want to be married to you anymore. So there iss close to a 100%
certainty that she is actually going to get the divorce, and going to
court will simply use up time, energy and money which you could
probably use more productively for other purposes.
I do understand that there may be child custody and/or property issues
between the two of you--- but those can be worked out just as
effectively out of court.
