Beneficiary inherits annuity
My aunt would like to name a niece as beneficiary for an annuity. The niece is a minor (12). Will the annuity company just send a check to the niece upon death? This is in NY state. Does the money go to the niece's parents until she is 18?

Age limit for adoption
If a US Citizen wanted to adopt a foreigner, is there an age limit for such an adoption. I expect this is a State issue and not a Federal issue. So I'm in Maryland hoping to be in North Carolina. Dick
