I had total hip replacement surgery in March 2007. In January 2008, Stryker announced a recall of the devise I had implanted. After spending 10 painful months, I've just learned that I need revision surgery because the original has loosened. What can or should I do in order to determine if the failure of the replacement was caused by a defective device or surgeon error? I've been told that a Stryker rep attends all surgeries involving their devices. Reputation aside, would it be better to have another surgeon do the revision? What's the best way to find the right attorney to handle any possible legal actions? I'll appreciate your insight. Peg
