CA tenant TRO for harassment a typical start of bigger things?

This is in Calif.
How serious is a tenant TRO for harassment?
To respond in the court hearing should I just appear on my own behalf
(to save money) or is it critical that I hire a lawyer?
The tenant has reachable assets - should I file a counter suit at once
or later?
Is this typically the start of something much bigger?
Did some google and found no real answers.
Form CH-151 hints that if one does not disagree with the order then
one need not file a response and only appear. Does that make any
sense? Does it make sense to prepare a brilliant reply - that the
judge does not read?
What are the chances of getting Lawyer's fees and costs? It is
provided for in the rental agreement?

You should really get a lawyer. The legal issues can get
complicated, and if you don't do it right it could cause problems for
you.

Depends on the situation. Talk to a lawyer. But the fact that you
brought this up leads me to believe that if you try to justify your
actions it will only make your case worse.

It really depends on exactly what your situations is.

The judge will read your reply. But if you make it too brilliant,
the judge will take you for a stalker and rule against you.

Again, it depends on the facts, the legal issued and exactly who the
parties are. See a lawyer to determine the issue in your specific
case.
