Divorce question...

If a woman decides to divorce her husband (who quit his job to go back to
school at age 30, that's not the reason) He is not working and relies on
there savings and her paycheck, can she owe him alimony ? Wouldn't he be
liable for child support ? (they have a 6 month daughter) Wouldn't that be
a wash ? He pay's child support and she pays alimony........ In my opinion
the judge should call it a wash...right ?

Maybe, depends on state law.
Wouldn't he be
liable for child support ?
Not necessarily.

You're likely going to need more than simplistic thinking to convince a
judge.

It isn't meant to be legal advice and you shouldn't treat it as
such. If you want legal advice, speak with a local lawyer
familiar with your state's laws who can review *all* of the facts
and the law applicable to your situation.

I'm certainly not a lawyer, but I can't help but wonder why you think the
husband--who is NOT working--would be "liable for child support." As I see
it, whichever parent is more financially ABLE to provide alimony and/or
child support is the one who would be required to. But maybe not!
