Among those who got subpeonas is Johnray Strickland, the woman's
ex-boyfriend.
"It's crazy," Strickland said, adding that he talked by phone with the
alleged victim after he was served.
"She said, 'I'm sorry.' She's not happy that her friends keep getting
dragged into this."
Strickland, 19, said he thinks the subpoenas are a desperate attempt
by the defense to sully his friend's reputation.
"All of a sudden, she's on trial when it's Kobe that should be on
trial," he said.
"I can't stop it, but nothing I have to say would be detrimental to
her."
