Where can I find out more info on backruptcy?

I would like to learn more about IF and WHEN (not necessarily HOW) to file
for bankruptcy. This would be for an individual not for a company.
I have done some online research, and I seem to be getting lots of
information on HOW. Most likely I am not using the appropriate key words.
Do you have a web site, or a book, or an article to recommend?
I suppose this can be a complex issue, and it would not be possible to
simply read a comment or an article and form an opinion. However, for the
moment I am merely interested in some "basics." Can you help?
Thanks.

1. Nolo Press
book:

other resources:

2. Or, for a professional treatise (the best one-volume guide, written
for lawyers)
National Consumer Law Center, "Consumer Bankrutpcy Law and Practice"
3. Visit your public library and your county law library. Both will
have lots of stuff for you.
