Quit Claim Dead - Divorce

I divorced my X-Husband about 3 years ago now, and still have not managed to
get a Quit Claim Deed form him for the transfer of the house from Joint
Names to my Soul Name.
In our Divorce Papers it clearly stated that he would make a quit claim of
the property to myslef and was signed.
He just refuses to do it.
Please advise if I can take matters further and either enforce that he signs
or is there some way I can transfer the house without his signature to my
soul name, as he has signed in the Divorce papers that he would do so.
Thanks for the help.

You can't transfer without his signature. You can do a court
action. If you prove your case the court can issue a decree ensuring you
have transferrable title. Don't try this by yourself. Get an attorney.

1. He can be "forced", i.e. a judge can force the matter. If he
tries those games with a judge, he can get fined and/or jailed.
2. A clever attorney can petition to make him pay your attorney fees
for the court case.
3. This kind of shenanigan is common in divorce cases. Both parties
tend to be mad at each other and engage in such petty stuff. The judges
see it all the time.
4. You have a better chance of getting him to pay fees and damages in
this and other divorce-related dealings if you behave in an honest and
aboveboard manner (no shenanigans on your part) and keep careful records
5. Match him, shenanigan for shenanigan, and the judge will fine
both of you.
This is an excellent example of why lawyers are necessary. This kind of
thing is really difficult to handle by yourself.

Old Al (retired engineer, not a lawyer)
