New York Speeding ticket

Hey everybody
I am hoping you could help me. I just had my court date and the judge
reduced my speeding ticket by a little and he found me guilty in the 20-over
range thus giving me 4 points.
I have heard that if you send DMV a check of an amount larger than your
fine, you can delay the points from being posted to your record and thus
your insurance company wouldn't get the violation information immediately.
Do you think this is worth trying?

Bribing public officials? I don't think so.
You wouldn't send the DMV a check anyway, it goes to the court.
Drive the speed limit and not worry about points and insurance.

This is apparently a corruption of the old urban legend that if you overpay
a ticket, they refund the difference but can't post the points until you
cash the refund check - thus, you don't cash the refund check and the points
never appear. This is not true. Just pay the ticket and get on with your
life.

Fuck you murderer. Anyone doing 20 mph over the limit is a deadly
psychopath. You should have done a couple years in the can and lost
your DL forever. How many 8 year old kids do you murder every week
wih your speeding.?
