Yep. Problem is, politics is and always has been the final refuge
for people whose egos have become too large to be contained
by the private sector. This is true regardless of race, color,
creed or political party.
The difference with Bush, Cheney, Frist, DeLay and most of
the current crop in D.C. is, they have an aggressive and utter
contempt for working class and lower class Americans. Their
sole purpose is to act as a fascist enforcement arm for large
corporate interests. They've done little since they took control
of Congress in 1994 except to gut welfare, gut labor laws, bash
poor people, bash gay people, and to funnel as much taxpayer
revenue as possible to their wealthy friends. Amazing how
Republicans whined for 40 years about the Great Society, and
now that welfare and most other major federal programs have
been "reformed", we're running the largest budget deficits in
our nation's history.
And as for Jesus Christ, he was the one who said a man cannot
serve two masters. The one who said it's easier for a camel to
go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter
heaven. According to Jesus, Min and his poor-bashing
Republican buddies will be taking the nonstop express train to
hell when they die.

If you are serious about applying Christian principles through your choice
of political party affiliation, be an independent. Otherwise, register with
the party of your choice and vote your conscience, not your party.
I'm a Christian, and registered as a Republican. However, I believe that it
is ludicrous to claim that the two are synonymous, or to claim that voting
Republican is my Christian duty.
