Just print yourself up a card that looks just like the handicapped mirror hangers and the cops would never know the difference. Our local Indian casino has the first two rows of spaces for "handicaps". 90% of them only qualify for being ignorant assholes. Here in Wisconsin, you can park in the spots all you want and unless a complaint is filed by someone other than the business owner or employees, the cops won't do jack #@($.

They already have this at many supermarkets. In a typical row of cars that stretches from near the entrance to the far side of the parking lot, you will see the first two or three spaces handicapped, the next two spaces for "mothers with small children" (if you have a dick, it is less inconvenient shopping with small children apparently), and then the next couple of spaces marked "pregant women only". In the space immediately following, they have one of those coin-operated binocular machines like you see at state parks. The sign next to it reads, "Scenic View of Customer Parking, 25 Cents". But they don't have a law backing them up to enforce it. I suppose they could legally tow your car, but do you really think they're going to?

We agree on this point. In fact, I just went shopping the other day at a grocery store in Philadelphia where parking is in a garage above the supermarket. I saw that sign at a couple of parking spaces and I was surprised. Why would pregnant women need special parking privileges if they're healthy? That makes no sense at all so I just parked at one of those spots for an hour while I did my shopping, then I went on my way. If the sign was actually legal, the way handicapped signs are, I would have avoided parking in that spot, but it was just a sign the store had obviously posted and it had a pink outline of a women with a baby in her arms. No pregnant woman I have ever known would use that space, and I did ask some of them about it.

If they did have any legal force behind them all a woman would need is a pillow and an oversized shirt. Much like those that put a dummy in the passenger seat to use HOV lanes.

Not to mention the Americans with Disabilities Act. Hmm... I should use my height and start suing for counters that are too low, desks that are too low, doorways I have to duck down to get through, stores that hang crap from the ceiling that hits my head, chairs that are too low, automakers that make cars where my head hits the headliner and/or the windshield doesn't come up high enough, coat manufacturers for not making the sleves long enough, I could go on and on where my height is not accomidated. If it is really disabling they would get a handicap permit to hang in the window. All a building/ business owner needs to care about is that people parking in those spots have the permits. It isn't up to them to decide who is disabled. Another thing. If a pregnant lady is going to the grocery store, chances are they are walking around inside more than in the parking lot.

The real reason this is stupid is that pregnant women who are having difficulties getting around are already entitled to get a temporary handicapped placard with a doctor's note, same as you would if you had knee surgery or something and had temporary difficulties getting around. You are just an idiot. Most handicapped spaces go unused except by idiots who shouldn't use them. Why not let people who have a genuine need use them? Further, we should make all parking lots where there is no place to drive between the store and the cars, make the first 30 spaces on each side for people with 2 or more kids with them, the next few for those with 1 kid, and the far ones for people with no kids and all liberals.

Problem is then there will be a demand for more resevered parking. So the unreserved parking gets pushed further back. And then there will be no place to park away from the morons and idiots.
