Am looking for a generic partnership agreement. Three of us are looking to
put together a small consultanting business and would like to formalize with
a generic partnership agreement.
Anyone know where I could receive some samples?

First, except in a few limited situations, a partnership is just about the
worst possible way to set up a business. I would recommend that you look at
a corporation or LLC, and speak with a local corporate attorney.

The Small Print: This response is for discussion purposes only. It isn't
meant to be legal advice and you shouldn't treat it as such. If you want
legal advice, speak with a local lawyer familiar with your state's laws who
can review *all* of the facts and the law applicable to your situation.

Warren's Form of Agreement is in county law libraries. It contains
partnership agreements of various sorts, with optional clauses for
variations in the situation. I'm sure a zillion partnership agreements can
be found online. But that's not what you should be looking for. You should
be consulting a business attorney. That person will advise on whether the
partnership form of business is wise. If a partnership agreement is what
you want, either in accordance with or in spite of legal advice, your
attorney will have them handy, and will be able to decide what clauses are
needed in addition to the boilerplate. That's the hard part.
