This does sound a bit like the city is trying to rid itself of an

How many other MHP's are in morraine?
Specially two as big as these are.
I would ask the residents to gather for a meeting and discuss the
likelihood
of filing a motion in state court to stop the displacement without
compensation.
Is there really immediate plans to remodel the area with roads and regular
housing?
Or is all of this still in the "dream" stage?
From what I read, I understand that the owner would bear the brunt of the
cost of demolition if home is left on the property?
I'd say, sue me.
What are they gonna do? Leave it?
More Bullis bad advice.
Don't let them trample on your rights to live. Sue the damn bastards.
Mr. Bullis, property owners' (the city's) rights supercede whatever rights
renters have. It's no one's fault that trailer owners don't plan for moving
off land they do not own.

It is obvious that the second post was a repost of the original story.
Had you bothered to actually read the full story, you would have learned
I did, St00pid. How about *you* reading this from that story:
"The only protection that appears to be guaranteed in Ohio is the right
of notification"
Ohio Revised Code 3733.11(3)
that under Ohio law, when such eminent domain is undertaken and there are
persons occupying that land who must also be moved, including their
property, just compensation to those persons shall be made.
Wrong, St00pid, it said no such thing. There was no eminent domain. The city
bought the land. There is no compensation in the state law. Other states do
that. In fact, that's a major reason the renters are upset.
In simple language, that means the city MUST pay the tenants to move
their
mobile homes.
And just maybe, they might have to cough up other monies to the "renters
of
property".
No such thing in the article, dolt.
When a city or county takes an apartment building or home, they don't just
make an offer to the owner of the property and kick everybody out. There
is
such a thing as "just compensation" to those involved.
Ohio Revised Code 3733.11(3) says they just have to be notified to vacate.
Care to cite your "just compensation" law, Mr. Bullis?
It will also undoubtedly wind up in a court of law which will prolong the
whole affair idnefinitely.
No, it probably won't. I feel sad for those people, but they shouldn't make
their trailers permanent on land that isn't theirs.
Oh and do feel free to crosspost to as many groups as you see fit. The
more
complaints supernews gets, the more likely your account is tossed.
No one from the #@($house-rat group has voiced any complaints, Bullis. You
shouldn't be giving out legal advice to desperate people.
