Need Legal Advice / Help

To whom it may concern,
I am currently emailing this letter to various law firms in hopes of
retaining a practiced attorney. If, for some reason, this email has
been sent to an inappropriate address, I must ask you to please
forward it to the proper individual, and forgive me for my ignorance.
I am in need of legal representation for three separate cases in
DuPage County, Illinois. These three cases have warrants out for my
arrest, (failure to appear), and it has come to my attention that
there is a detective actively seeking me for the past three weeks.
My job requires me to travel back and forth from the west coast, and I
have had an extremely difficult time making these court dates, thus my
explanation for these "failure to appear" allegations.
I need to discuss hiring an attorney as soon as possible.
Two of these warrants are for "harassment". The first is "phone
harassment", the second is "electronic harassment". Both are
misdemeanors. A third warrant is for a DUI I received while I was in
DuPage County, last year, (2003), the weekend of October 31st. I have
posted bail on three occasions for the two misdemeanors, and, like I
stated previously, have had an extremely difficult time getting back
from my out-of-state business obligations to make these appearances in
court.
My state of affairs is as follows
Due to reasons I can explain at a later date, I cannot meet the
expense of an upfront' retainer. I can however, afford to pay a
monthly fee, as well as offer my services in creating high-quality Web
site development on a barter basis if one so desires.
You'll find my work is exceptional, and in most cases incomparable to
my competition. I have worked with the likes of Ameritech / SBC,
Motorola, McDonald's, MTV and a dozen other major corporations. I say
this to not only propose a form of bartering, but additionally as
proof of my capability to make a respectable amount of money. To see
an example of my work, email me at the address below.
I am seeking aggressive legal representation. I want to put this
behind me. I am willing to pay as much as it takes, as long as I can
do so within a reasonable payment method. If one chooses to barter my
Web development services, I trust you'll find it a satisfying
experience, and in the end, well worth the effort and rewarding.
I can be reached at the following email address:
christo2004@comcast.net
Note: This email has been forwarded to 18 firms. I will respond to all
in kind, but must emphasize my urgency to get the ball rolling on this
as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Christopher Gray

Has it ever occurred to you to simply call the court and ask what your
options are in these cases?
If it was really that serious, they'd have busted you by now on the DUI
failure to appear as it is.
Chances are, you're driving on a suspended license.
If you get caught again, you will be arrested and taken to jail.
Make contact with the court, now!

Chris,
You seem to believe that these charges and the court's time are
unimportant when compared to your business obligations. You have failed to
show for court dates, are subject to arrest, and are being actively sought
by the police. You won't even take the time to open the phonebook, speak
with a few lawyers, and choose one to address these issues.
By these actions you are making legal mountains out of legal molehills.
When the judge finally sees you he will not be happy. Your belief that your
business is more important than your obligations in these legal matters
flies in the face of common sense. Put aside your business and hire a lawyer
today. Listen to his advice and act on it.
Good luck,
Dave M.

First, don't listen to Richard. Ever.
Second, do as David Martel said.
Third, thanks to your idiotic disregard of court dates on criminal charges,
you can forget the payment plan idea. You think someone who would blow off
court dates would have a credit rating with a criminal law attorney? Find
the money.
