Phone threats

If a person in the course of making harassing phone calls has threatened
to call HRS on the family receiving such calls, would it make sense for
the threatened family to preemtively call HRS and let them know of this
threat? Reporting of general bad parenting is the threat being made.
Assume threatened family has nothing to hide.

Perhaps not a good idea. HRS has been known not to be kind to the parents
rights.
All they need is an excuse.
Call your phone company and talk to them about it.
Get caller ID and a tape recording machine.
When the person calls again, tape the conversation.
Take the tape to the police station along with the caller ID information and
file charges.
