This is good news for every American, since heterosexuals and homosexuals can live in peace and prosperity, and continue to enjoy equal civil rights and privileges for every law-abiding American under the law. These civil unions for same-sex couples are still legal. Only the religious institution of marriage will remain sanctified by the Creator above every person and above every man-made law of the land. This constitutional amendment recognizes the inviolable sanctity of marriage & family: "What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder" [Mat 19:6 AV]. What the President referred to as anger in this Tuesday morning's announcement to amend the Constitution really reflects every God-fearing American's righteous fear of God's wrath had same-sex marriages ever become law. The wrath of God is nothing to be trifled with--no sir! The National Security of the United States of America is at stake. So to save our great nation from annihilation it was clearly necessary for the President to do what he's doing, and the states will ratify this much-needed amen- dment for it to supersede any and all state laws to the contrary. The several thousand same-sex couples who are holding illegal "marriage" licenses I hope will see the err of their ways, and will understand the responsibili- ties and laws that our government leaders have sworn to faithfully execute and uphold during their tenure in of- fice. May you live long and happy lives together and do so with the maximum benefits attainable under civil law. All of my rage directed toward law-breakers was to save your lives, not to take them. I'd hoped to frighten you away from illegal "marriage"--lest we all taste the ire of God the Destroyer! May God forgive every one of us... Therefore, thanks to the President's announcement, I am standing down from my call to arms against any same-sex couples seeking to obtain a legally-recognized marriage license, as such urgent need to stop them no longer pre- sents a clear and present danger to these United States of America. If the government wants to deny marriage rights to gay couples, they'll need to come up with a legally viable reason, other than the usual "it's icky, and we don't like it", pointing to bibles or claiming the sky will fall. As for the constitutional amendment, the very fact that such a proposal was made proves how legally indefensible the case against same-sex marriage is. Amending the Constitution is the one and only way these clowns can ignore Section 1 of the 14th Amendment. It would be the first and only amendment to specifically single out a group of 20-25 million Americans and deny them a basic human right. Rick
