I don't disagree with that, Mike, but how do you know if
they're minors? If they have IDs, who is the clerk to refuse
the sale?
There are means for detecting fraudulent ID's. If the sale is
questionable it should be refused. The sale of alcohol to minors
-- who probably drove up in a car -- is inexcusable. If a liquor
store is not diligent enough to have some means of checking the
validity of a person's identification, then they are guilty of
negligence and should be prosecuted.
