Angelo Foti was sentenced to 20 months for shooting and wounding a man in his backyard who was trying to repossess a snowmobile sold to Foti's son, the Winnipeg Free Press reported on Tuesday. In court on Monday, Angelo Foti was agitated when he realized the sentence would mean he would be in a provincial jail, where smoking is banned, the newspaper said. Foti's lawyer pleaded for a 24-month sentence instead, which means the man will go to a federal prison, where smoking is allowed. In accepting the longer term, Foti, a dedicated pack-a-day man, ignored the wishes of this family. "Dad, they're just cigarettes -- give them up. Quit smoking: you'll be healthier," his son Angelo Jr. said in court. "Just take the 20 months.">
After that first 20 months, he will become a Political Prisoner...think about that. An extra 4 months of freedom will be taken away because he decided to continue to be a smoker staying within government guidelines. Why should *he* quit? Smoke-Nazi's should quit imposing their life choices on others.
Sure, and the Crack-Nazi's and the Heroin-Nazis and the Child-Molester-Nazis should all mind their own business too, eh moron? -- "Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia nor in England nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country." - Hermann Goering, Nazi Reichsmarshall

I'm the moron? Tell me? -- Is Smoking Tobacco against the law for an adult at this time?
Yes, it clearly is you blithering imbecile, there are 1000s of places where it is illegal for anyone to smoke tobacco.
I believe the other examples you list above *are* against the law...Twit !
Irrelevant argument moron. Urinating, Defecating and Fucking are all "legal" too ... but you can't urinate in the middle of the street, you can't defecate on the dinner table of your favorite restaurant just because you may "enjoy" it, and you can't Fuck in PUBLIC places either you drug addled simpleton, so as you can see, the stupid smoker's fallacy of "it's legal" therefore I can do it any damn time and place I feel like it is show to be nothing but the Junkie Whine that it is ...
There are no Heroin, Crack, Child Molester Nazi's -- unless these are other causes you wish to support --
And there are no smoke-Nazi's either numbnuts, in spite of your pathetic protestations.

Comparing smoking to child molestation is truely idiotic. Do us all a favor and kill yourself.
