MIchael Newdow on CSPAN this Evening

He was debating Seamus Hasson, a cathalick interleckchul, on the issues of
the Establishment Clause and his lawsuit.
The moderator whose name escapes me mentioned that fat little il duce Scalia
had recused himself because he painted himself into a corner by ranting in
public and expressing an opinion against Newdow's case. Typical cathalick
interleckchul, that Scalia. You'd think he'd have the decency to recuse
himself from the Supreme Court case in which Dick Cheney is a party since
they are such chummy hunting buddies and all.
What was really funny during this CSPAN "show" were the various fundies from
around the country calling in and spewing their anger at Newdow over the
phone, demanding he leave the country, "which is founded on the Christian
religion." Hell, you'd think -- to hear them --- that Jesus himself
founded it and was living near the temple in Salt Lake City. One of them
invited him to depart for Canada. Is there one goddamned christian in the
whole wide world who can use logic and reason to advance his argument, or
who isn't bound and determined to apply revisionist history to support his
cause?
One dear old fanged and venomous xian lady from Bossier City, Looziana
demanded Newdow "git out" if he didn't like living in this xian nation.
Then a man called in from somewhere in the South, saying he could never get
over the stupidity of xians and how they tried to force their religion on
everybody else and punished him for his atheism and how he was sick and
tired of it.
Well, I am too. I hope Newdow wins and brings some sanity to the court
decisions in this country interpreting the First Amendment. Oh, and one
more thing --- I hope that when Newdow is making his argument before the
nin....er, eight, I hope that scaly old Bill Rehnquist is seized with a fit
of apoplexy and expires right there on the bench and all the foul breath
goes out of his scurrilous body.
Dear Zeus, bring down a bolt of lightning and strike that grimy old William
down and send a fiery bolt through the hollow noggin of Uncle Thomas too
while you're at it.
Attaboy, Michael, bring that trophy home to us agnostics and loyal
constitutionalists. Help make the country fit for us to live in again and
to raise our children in without high priests in the public schoolhouses
trying to inculcate them with their goshawful fears and superstitions.
Amen.

Seamus? Nope, he's an interleckchul. And, of course, you're a notorious
plagiarist, copy thief, and a #@($egobbler.

I think you are referring to a different show, as the one *I*
referred to had NO call-ins and did NOT include Hasson. And
there was no mention of Scalia. The show I linked to was a tape
of a one-hour forum.
