Prosecutors want to dismiss jurors who think Kobe is innocent

http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/news/083104_nw_bryant.html EAGLE, Colo. - Jury questioning continues, but not after prosecutors in the Kobe Bryant sexual assault filed a motion in Eagle County District Court, seeking to expand the individual questioning of potential jurors. An open court hearing on the matter is taking place at this hour. That's because of one question on an 82-item questionnaire given to each jury pool member, which asks whether they've formed an opinion on Bryant's guilt or innocence based on media coverage. Prosecutors say in their motion that the question could prompt confusion regarding the constitutional presumption of innocence. Prosecutors want District Judge Terry Ruckriegle to allow them to dismiss potential jurors who say they think Bryant is innocent -- based on what they've heard, read or seen regarding the case.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the court room... the Defense would like to dismiss potential jurors who say they think Bryant is guilty -- based on what they've heard, read or seen regarding the case.
