http://celebrityjustice.warnerbros.com/news/0409/02b.html Kobe Bryant left Eagle, Colorado, late Thursday morning -- but not before leaving a big impression with one local woman. "CJ" has obtained the very first picture seen of Kobe Bryant since the criminal case against him was dismissed, a photo taken just minutes before he flew out of town. The shot was snapped with Rachel Yandle, who ran into Kobe at the private airport. "I just went up to him and asked for a picture," Yandle told us. Yandle tells "CJ" that Kobe appeared very excited that the criminal case was over. "People were just congratulating him. He was just saying 'Thank you,' and signing basketballs," Yandle recounted. "He was really excited; he was happy to be there and to be leaving, I guess. To be heading home." But even as Kobe leaves Eagle behind, it appears his accuser won't be returning for a while -- in fact, we're hearing she, "Wants to fall off the face of the earth." Just hours after District Attorney Mark Hurlbertt announced he had reluctantly decided not to go forward with the case, a friend of the accuser tells "CJ" he spoke with her and says she told him she probably won't be back here until Christmas. He says she told him now that the criminal case involving Bryant is over, she hopes the death threats against her will subside. One of the questions still circling among the people of Eagle is whether the case should have even been prosecuted. "The DA probably should've done a little more investigating before they jumped to some conclusions and talked to that girl a little bit more," one local told us. As "CJ" has reported, some lawyers in Eagle have claimed the Kobe case is another example of one that the prosecutors shouldn't have tried in the first place.
