The s_knight varmint is really weird, even among that rabble. Posting a meaningless, out of date newspaper article, with a note acknowledging that it's meaningless and out of date, was one of the dumbest things I've seen since one of the alt.fan.oj-simpson featherbrains wrote "Bush stold the election."

Soon that little girl will be able to buy and sell you, and all for no better reason than she walked into the wrong place at the wrong time. Isn't that whats really bothering you, Timmay? Mez

I'm not familiar with Tim May (and apparently you aren't either, unless your implication that you know what he's worth is true). What gave you the silly idea that something's bothering him? That seems mighty stupid if it's based on his prediction and question above. The thing that bothers me about the little sex addict is that she might be suicidal. She had dreams of extorting millions from Bryant, and now she's just going to have to settle for the book deal and a few days on the talk show circuit, if that, and she's always going to have to live with all the slime and #@($ that was thrown at her, whether any of it stuck or not. If you think she's going to be able to use the civil courts to rape Bryant financially, the odds are against you. The rules of evidence are lots different in civil matters, so for example if they get a big enough courtroom--like Coors Field maybe, every guy who ever tried to satisfy her might crowd in there and testify that she craves it and can't say no. (Yeah, I know...more slime and #@($. I don't care if it sticks or not.) The facts that you don't need a unanimous jury and that you only need a preponderance of evidence won't help much. When all you have is "she said he did it," you probably don't have a winner. On the other hand, he has a good shot at prevailing in a countersuit, because her unsubstantiated accusation cost him at least four million dollars, while the only damage to her was that more people know about her now. I would expect her to drop the civil case in exchange for a permanent courtside seat at Lakers' games, i.e., a place in front of fifteen or twenty thousand people. By the way, the answer to Tim May's question is that the pussy services union (I think it's called COYOTE) would proabably make her start as a trainee in the blow job department.

She walked EXACTLY where she intended to walk. There is absolutely no "wrong place at the wrong time" about it.

<snip> It will never go to court. The maximum she can get under Colorado law is 1.5 million. Considering the new case could cost Kobe $3million or more, he'll probably settle it quickly, save $$$ and get on with his life.

But what happened to the innocent victim that didn't want any money, just jail time for Bryant?

Wouldn't prison time then be a possibility again, eg - the Alan Berg assassins?

I'm always curious why female victims are routinely described in terms like that: "little girl", etc. When Monica Lewinsky was in the news, feminists and other supportive pundits would bring up her young age (22-ish?) and lack of maturity compared to Clinton ("she's a mixed-up, star-struck kid"). I just don't get it. If Katelyn Faber were attempting to get into Westpoint or obtain an abortion at 18 or 20, no true feminist would question her authority to do so. There wouldn't be the condescension. But a grown woman gets assaulted, allegedly, and suddenly it's acceptable to refer to her as a child. It's insulting. Is she a grown-up or not? --Amy

Search his previous posts. They make quite an amusing read; in particular don't miss the one where he suggests that someone who found two lost dogs sell them to a lab for scientific experiments. He's either a hopeless curmudgeon or a serial troll or perhaps some combination thereof. In any event, there's nothing lost in taunting him since you can't take a single thing he says seriously anyway. Mez

Point 1; the preferred term "survivor" not "victim." Point 2; I'm not a feminist. Point 3; anyone under 21 is just a kid in my book, whether applying to Westpoint or attempting to buy liquor with a false ID. Mez

Makes sense to me! (I think maybe the lab should take him instead, if he really did that dog thing. Certain restaurants pay better than labs.) However, I'm inclined to believe that the "little girl" calculated every move in this case. She recognized Bryant and figured she could use him as a sort of money tree.

That being the case you'd think she would have stayed clear of any sexual contact until after the rape exam was completed. Mez
