[snip mostly repetitious stuff] Fortunately, the judges I've been privileged to meet have been wise and thoughtful men. I can't imagine any of them spouting simple minded prattle like this. Apparently someone found it quotable. So, if I were to tell you how many law enforcement officers smoke cigars, would you quote that too? BTW - Most of the young men I've met who have had problems with the law have a habit of wearing pants that are way too large. Most of the young women in similar circumstances are wearing clothes that are way too small. Would you conclude from this that we need fewer cops and more tailors?

Absolutely. The judge is letting his personal feelings get int he way of his judgement. Judge Crane is engaging in logical fallacy. There is no reason to believe that cigarettes are responsible for the behavior he cites. The fact that the majority of kids coming before him smoke does not mean that smoking is responsible. He is making the mistake: Most of a do b, therefore b is responsible for a. IIRC, it is called "Affirmation of the Consequent" You could make the same argument about anything common to the defendants that have appeared before him. They all have eaten white bread in the last year, they all drink Pepsi, they all play basketball....

The Judge never claimed in was causal, moron. That's your phoney strawman. Does the sun place the street lights in it's mouth, light them on fire, then inhale the toxic, cancerous, noxious effluent of that smoke? Facts: 1) In nearly every instance I have observed tobacco addicts to be stupid, lower grade humans. 2) Criminals tend to be smokers. Get it?

Nonsense.

You're too funny. Exactly what makes a person a "tobacco addict" for the purpose of your argument? Better yet, what was the indicator of "grade" and "stupidity" that you "observed" in association with said addiction?

Someone who is addicted to tobacco, would, ipso facto, be a tobacco addict, no?

Which only proves, that Mr. Crane is unfit to be a judge. How can you expect a fair trial, when the judge is a narrow-minded bag of prejudice?

All you lowlife tobacco junkies that steal from the State Gov't by not paying the legal taxes due on cigarettes when you buy them over the internet and/or out of state. That alone makes 100,000s of you maggoty pukes "criminals" right there. Then of course there are the pathetic tobacco addicted parents who abuse their children by exposing them to SHS. Those criminal child abusers should be improsoned, and have their children sent to SS to be raised properly.
