Make sure that it is illegal for all non-smokers to barbeque or grill outside. We don't want our air contaminated with their nasty smoke.

Diesel fumes are the most deadly form of smoke to breathe. Ban buses and trucks from the roads. At least no one forces you to enter a restaurant that permits smoking.

and that's how these controlling fanatics work. Trying to make everyone else live just like them - oh happy joy joy!

Nor are they allowed to drive or ride in motor vehicles of any kind. All that toxic crap spewing out the tailpipes is killing their children and everyone else's children.

Lest we forget their nasty fanatical carbon dioxide eminating from their ignorant controlling mouth. Gosh - don't we all wish we were as perfect as them? We humbly bow to their self-righteous, ever persistent, ever obnoxious, wisdom. My god!! I so wish I could be just like them - don't you???

There may be a lot of things that you don't want. Tell you what... go to your local city council, board of supervisors, or whatever, and ask them politely to pass a bylaw prohibiting non-smokers to barbecue or grill outside. Let us know what sort of results you get. In particular, let us know if the result is a fit of uncontrollable laughter from everyone present. -- Bob Broughton http://broughton.ca/ Vancouver, BC, Canada "Watch your mouth, if you ever want to cross the border. Well, where I live, they stopped the smoking ban. So I guess you lost here. To bad. Ah-h-h, the smell of nazis in the morning air. Damn! I thought we got rid of you people in 1945.

I made it to near 25yrs on the railroad (brakeman/conductor) before gettin' "Reaganized" back in '89. I'd put diesel fumes from railroad locomotives right up there in pollutants. On our sub-division....we got all the junk power (not fit to run on the main line)...and there were few if any exhaust restrictions. I don't think a ban on barbeque would be any more ridiculous than a ban on smoking. EBS must be just as bad as ETS.

OH NO. We can't do that. That would infringe on THEIR RIGHTS. SCOTTY

Then take up my suggestion: go to your local governing body, and see if you can convince them to pass an anti-barbecuing bylaw. And, as I wrote earlier, give us full reports on the success or failure of your effort.

As I said before meathead. They tried one of your Nazi tricks here and was rejected. I believe it was the city government "body". I'm so glad I don't live in your gestapo city.

Yep. And people that have gas fires, charcoal fires and wood fires indoor. All produce smoke that contains chemicals and carcinogens.

Why would I ask for another stupid ban? We already have too many of them. Just becuse the anti-smoker law passed, it doesn't make it good or acceptable or necessary or anything.

I agree that the idea of banning outdoor barbecuing (as expressed by "R&B Wiz") is pretty stupid. -- Bob Broughton http://broughton.ca/ Vancouver, BC, Canada "Watch your mouth, if you ever want to cross the border. True. Stupid people outnumber intelligent people. 80% of the US population go to church regularly. 90% of the US voters will vote democrat or republican. Intelligent people wouldn't do either.

Diversity of opinions seems to be a big problem for you, especially with opinions that differ from yours. I have no problem with diversity, especially with people that disagree with me. In fact, if the person is reasonable, I enjoy debating with them. Take a look back at some long and interesting discussions that I have had with SteveO. I do have a problem with fools and simpletons. Guess which category I would place you.
"I could care less what you choose to believe." - Todd Benson, Sept. 8,
2004 That is not a problem with diversity. In fact, that is tolerance for differing opinions. I don't care what you choose to believe. How is that a problem with diversity?
"Wow, what an ego this guy has." - Todd Benson, Sept. 9, 2004
In response to your comment that I would even care what you believe. Both comments stand and neither refute my claim to enjoy diversity.

Intelligent non-smokers know, that the smoking ban is stupid, but since it serves them, they don't mind. Stupid anti-smokers on the other hand are still trying to make the ban look reasonable and necessary.
