Bad District Attorneys & Judges = Criminals

There seem to be no controls over DAs & judges, & no limits to the harm
they can do to others. "The legal system is now our enemy."
What organizations & groups are now working, to try to get some controls
put over the bad judges & bad district attorneys, & to hold them
accountable for their crimes, for the harm they've done?

Texas DA's are all elected. That is the only
check on them, as the appellate courts are giving
applauding approval to everything they do.
Lawyer slept thru trial? No problem. DNA test
shows the guy is innocent. Conviction still stands.
Sheesh..........

As far as I can remember, they're Not fairly elected, because when
they run unopposed (as they often do, because people are too terrified
to run against them, or speak out against them), ... there's no way to
vote against them. None!
There should be three lines on the ballot:
Joe Jones
Not Joe Jones
Write-In
That way, we could get these low-life, sleazy & sadistic little
crime-lards (DAs & judges) out of office, & allow/encourage someone
else to safely run.
There are also problems with vote-fixing, voting fraud in Texas, which
LBJ referred to as "winning with Box 13".
Are the DAs in other states, allowed to do any crimes they want, no
limits no boundaries? Or is this just in Texas?

The Chicago Tribune did a four-part series a few
years ago about how DA's routinely fabricated evidence
and hid evidence to convict innocent people. Even after
being caught redhanded, there was not only no punishment,
but many of them are now judges. The situation was so
out of control that the governor had to commute ALL
death sentences last year.
The moral of the story is that the public will forgive
any lie or perjury as long as it is done in the cause of
"tough on crime". Jose Padilla, anyone?

I got this email about changing the ballot, so we can vote the vermin
out of office:
The suggestions you have made require a change in the law regarding
elections.
Such changes can only occur through the legislative process, which
requires a state representative or legislature to address the issue
during a legislative session.
Current Texas law allows for the cancellation of an election if there
are no opposed candidates.
Additionally, write-in candidates must declare their intent to seek
office as a write-in.
Therefore, in order to see the changes you have suggested, there would
need to be statutory authority provided by the legislature, as
described above.
If you have any specific information about the intimidation of
individuals desiring to run against incumbent officeholders, please
contact the County or District Attorney, and/ or the Attorney
General's office.
We hope this information has been helpful. Please feel free to contact
our office via e-mail or toll-free at 1-800-252-8683 (VOTE), should
you have any further questions.

Texas Secretary of State
