other than telling the two guys she had sex with. http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/state/article/0,1299,DRMN_21_3225132,0 0.html EAGLE - She was going to stay quiet. That was one of the revelations in the Kobe Bryant sexual assault case files released Friday by the Eagle County Sheriff's Department: The alleged victim's first reaction was to keep the whole thing to herself. A transcript of investigators' interview with her ex-boyfriend, Matt Herr, who she called an hour after her encounter with the Los Angeles Lakers star, shows she intended to keep it a secret - as she claims Bryant ordered her to do. Asked what she told Herr in the 12:30 a.m. phone call on July 1, 2003, just an hour after she left the Lodge & Spa at Cordillera in Edwards, Herr said, "That she just wanted to forget about it and that nobody would believe her." Different details The alleged victim said different things to different people, according to reports. She told a nurse, for example, that Bryant told her to kiss his penis after sex, but she did not originally tell that to detectives. Also, she told Herr that she had showered before she was examined for sexual assault. But she later said she didn't and only told Herr that "because she wanted him to get off her case about calling the police. " Another issue involved the cleanliness of her panties - a subject that became relevant because forensic tests showed the presence of Bryant's DNA and that of another man. "She stated she packed the panties in the bag for (a work) function," the transcript said. "However, when I asked her if she was certain they were clean, she hesitated and stated she was fairly certain they were." And in words that appear somewhat prophetic, the transcript of Bryant's interview captures Detective Dan Loya apologizing to Bryant bodyguard Mike Ortiz as investigators take Bryant in for his "rape kit" examination. "Sorry for the inconvenience for you guys," said Loya. Ortiz, whose boss went on to spend several million dollars defending himself, replied, "You don't even know."

You can read the whole transcript at the Vail Daily. Even in her first interview, she is all over the place. She claims he takes his pants OFF. But then she is asked if he was still naked after the rape, and she says he didn't take his pants off, just pulled them down. She alters her story when it's shown it doesn't make sense. Then, she says she didn't know if he had underwear, even though she was watching him take his pants off, which changed to pulling them down. She says she grabbed at his hand for 30 seconds, yet no DNA was found on her fingernails. She claimed she did not bleed, then she said she did: Det W: Were you bleeding or anything like that? (redacted) : No. Det W: You had bled. (redacted) : Yeah. She says that she knew who Kobe was and even that he had a wife and kid. Yet Easter lied and claimed she didn't even know who he was. She said she knew he had a kid from reading "magazines" and from "the Lakers" She says that they would not let Bobby go down the hall, in order to explain why she went out the front door. Then she is asked if he tried. She says no one tried. If no one tried, then she just made that up. During the tour, the bodyguards are no longer in the lobby, even though they are her excuse for not going down the hall. She claims she was red faced and crying. When Trina saw her, she looked fine. Trina said she was only gone for 10-15 minutes. She claimed to Matt Herr she had showered, then said she just lied to him to "get him off her case".

No -- it's her first *stated* reaction.
A transcript of investigators' interview with her ex-boyfriend, Matt Herr, who she called an hour after her encounter with the Los Angeles Lakers star, shows she intended to keep it a secret - as she claims Bryant ordered her to do.
No -- it shows she *claimed* she intended to keep it secret. Or more accurately, that *Matt Herr" claims that she claimed that she intended to keep it secret.

Yet
Easter lied and claimed she didn't even know who he was. She said she knew he had a kid from reading "magazines" and from "the Lakers" She says that they would not let Bobby go down the hall, in order to
explain
why she went out the front door. Then she is asked if he tried. She says

to
"get him off her case".
She also admitted she lied to Kobe BEFORE any sex or kissing took place. She lied about going to the jacuzzi with him just so she could supposedly get out of the room. Funny how she said she felt "uncomfortable" going to the *public* jacuzzi, yet had no problems kissing privately for 5 minutes. She wanted to leave the room because Kobe wanted to go to the jacuzzi but suddenly she didn't want to leave when they were kissing. So basically the night auditor said she was lying. The CBI expert said she was lying. Two roommates said she was lying. And she ADMITTED to lying THREE times. Most of this stuff is coming from reports from the prosecution's side. What happens if Hurlbert releases all the reports that Mackey listed? Which he hasn't done yet and I doubt he will. -- "The first panacea for a mismanaged nation is inflation of the currency; the second is war. Both bring a temporary prosperity; both bring a permanent ruin. But both are the refuge of political and economic opportunists." - Ernest Hemingway

Actually, she was so hellbent on keeping all this to herself, that she told the bellman/boyfriend Bobby Pietrack. How can anyone claim that she intended to keep all this to herself, when the prosecution makes so much of this "outcry" witness? Alex

Isn't this what is commonly known as double hearsay? What a brilliant DA Mark was, hinging his case on a bunch of idiots with all the hearsay in it.

Bot, you wouldn't understand that "double hearsay" here is actually a creative expression rather than merely a text string.
