One of my roommates claims he can get out of his lease with my
landlord because my landlord converted his 3-car garage into two
bedrooms and is leasing those bedrooms, and that it's illegal to let
someone live in a garage even if converted into part of the house.
Los Angeles county.
Just curious whether to tell him he got bad advice, or to confirm it's
true.
