What the hell is he doing at the Yankees game in a Yankee cap? What a friggin' loser. Talk about a bandwagon fan, sheez. Even if he does have a zillion dollars, he still has to be a poseur. That is truly sad.

he's a loser, but I think he's actually a Yankees fan as much as he is a Lakers fan (well, meaning he's an actual fan.) as much as i hate jack (and the lakers and yankees) you gotta give that crap head credit. -- "if the women don't find you handsome, you haven't bought them enough beer."

Hmmm... I suppose it's possible. He's typically associated with basketball.

I think Nicholson is originally from the New York area, so his being a Yankee fan is not surprising. I guess you could call him a bandwagon Laker fan, but I remember him attending many Laker games during the 90s when the Lakers had a mediocre team.

I am a Yankees fan. Grew up in New York, been a Yankees fan all my life. This past summer I happened to be in Boston with a friend. We went to a Red Sox game at Fenway (we had seats on top of the Green Monster). It was a great game, against the Padres, Boomer Wells vs. Pedro Martinez. I bought and paid for a Red Sox cap, and wore it at the game. Here is a picture to prove it: http://cincinnatimedia.com/beantown/images/025.jpg Does that make me a bandwaggin fan? I don't think so. I hope the Yankees beat the Sox in this series. I hope they SWEEP the Sox in this series. I take great delight in tawnting my pal (also pictured), who is a Sox fan. I just happened to have tickets and opportunity to take in a great game. And I suspect the same is true of Nicholson. He's filthy rich, he can afford to get great tickets to a great series and he can afford to go there and attend it. Bully for him. So he wears a Yankees cap. BFD. I've been to a lot of games in a lot of ballparks, in several sports, and unless it's a game where the home team is playing my Oranges, I usually buy a hat as a momento. And I wear it at the game. Big Fucking Deal. And if I was as rich as Nicholson, I strongly suspect I would do a lot more of it. -- Cheers, --Jeff "We have two quarterbacks now who can play," said Pasqualoni. "Both are still developmental players." HUH???

Funny, I thought that by now everyone knew Jack's history as a Lakers fan. Oh well, ignorance springs anew every year. Nicholson became a Lakers fan the way many of us did; following the team during a year when the team won a NBA championship. Jack's year though was 1972 I believe. The reason so many of us became fans in this way is not because of bandwagonism, but because the Lakers have just been in so many championships over the last 50+ years. In fact, I don't think any other team in the league has been in more Finals during that time. But, to clarify, Jack has been a hardcore Lakers fan for at least 30 years. Greg

Um, he can afford MLB merchandise and he liked it, so he bought the hat. He also enjoys baseball and bought a ticket. This is just a hunch though.
