Results 1 - 10 of about 439 for "mental health act" "28 day". I had 2 wet dreams in 2 years, chemically castrated basically for smoking pot on the beach one night. Herc

what part of 'hold without charge' are you missing here? where do people get held? what behaviours as judged by street police substantiates detaining someone for a month and injecting them every day? what evidence of any blind testing of patients safeguard do you have to counter? what public records of the use of mental health act and case studies do you have privy to? what laws are you aware of that constitute admission to treatment? what are the effects of involuntary treatment? you wont find these answered on your nightly CSI show dear. Don't bother. You'll soon work out that Herc has mental problems and that entering into these sorts of discussions with him is pointless.

I know you are in Queensland, but in New South Wales you can be declared Mentally Disordered and held for up to three days if you look like being a danger to yourself or someone else. If you are declared Mentally Ill (which must be done by at least one psychiatrist plus at least one other doctor) you can be held for longer, but you must be brought before a magistrate (at the hospital) within seven days. The magistrate can order an adjournment, detention for up to three months, or discharge. This means that in NSW you can only be deprived of your liberty without a court order for a maximum of ten days. Of course, if the person who is brought before the magistrate is a paranoid schizophrenic who refuses to take medication and is awaiting trial for threatening to put poison in food in supermarkets then the beak will probably order that he be kept locked up until his trial.
