Hi,

what can i do? i have a mentally ill neighbor who has
threatened to file fraudulent charges against me.

her name is Ginger. she has Delusional Disorder,
Persecutory Type(http://www.mentalhealth.com/dis1/p21-
ps02.html) but has never been diagnosed by a physician and
never will be. she's 42 and, of course, doesn't know that
she's mentally ill and would probably rather die than
recognize that she has a problem.

she lives in a room in my house. whenever she sees me leave
my room and go into the kitchen or bathroom or to work she
becomes incensed and curses because i am "stalking" her. i
never even acknowledge her existence by any kind of action,
response, or expression whatsoever, but she is obscesed
with the perception that i'm "following" her. this is fine
with me, except that she has also threatenned to call the
cops and charge me with stalking.

with no formal diagnosis, i can't proove that she's crazy,
and when it comes to stalking, she's a woman and i'm a man,
which means i am probably presumed guilty and won't have
the benefit of any kind of legal process untill it's way
too late. i'll get taken away in broad daylight and won't
be able to live here anymore.

is there anything i can do in my defense?
