Update as today:

status for Thursday for two reasons: first, the jury trial set to begin
before us may n

the World Series that day and no jury trials will be held. I will get
you set for the earliest possible date if that happens.
I will let you know first thing next week.
Any suggestions or motions I myself should file?
Thanks,

Hi. The update that I posted above was from an email I received. There has
been a new twist. First though..what is "stand-by?" Is it even legal? Is it
common?
I did get a telephone message concerning the email. The attorney asking me
to call his office. I did and basically the same thing: because of the jury
trial before us and the fact that he would be out of town. I stopped him in
the conversation and asked him where he was going, that I thought you
emailed that the Judge was going out of town? He then told me that they
were both going, then (imo) as an afterthought, he added that; they were
not going to the game together. I got word yesterday that the trial was on
for tomorrow, evidently because the series is over? (Trial was scheduled
for today) Some of the people I wanted to come can't re-schedule. And one
witness (not subpoenaed) cannot make it although they did have today
scheduled. Does anyone else see anything wrong with the situation? Is it
common that the state can call you to the line and tell you to be there
(trial) or a warrant will go out? But the state can also arbitrarily change
the time and dates without any notice to appear or legal notice documents?
I did at the beginning of this case outline to the attorney by cert. letter
not to make any ex-parte, deals or hold meeting's about my case without my
permission. I would appreciate any feedback on this from those here in this
group, Please, within the next 24 hours as the clock is ticking down. The
family is my motivation, not my own neck. Thank-you.
