SUMMIT COUNTY - Republican Mark Hurlbert, a Breckenridge resident, has won
the race for the 5th Judicial District Attorney.
With 100 percent counted, Hurlbert won with 18,863 votes and 52 percent.
Brown, a Democrat, garnered 17,687 votes and held a slim lead for most of
the race.
Summit County pushed Hurlbert over the edge.
The unofficial results from Summit County show incumbent Hurlbert winning
all 19 precints, with a total of 7,328 votes to his democratic challenger
Bruce Brown's 5, 091 votes.
