Unlike the US, Sweden has a market economic system. This
means that
the government doesnt "protect" corporations from
competition. On the
other hand, corporations are more free in Sweden than in
the US to
make whatever decisions they think are in their interest.
Unlike in
the US, the Swedish government doesn't think it is
necessary to
control every detail of every corporation.
The American economy would be even more successful if they
introduced
a more market economic system. And yes, the unemployment
rate would
probably initially rise because some corporations won't be
able to
survive the competition from others, but in the longer run
literally
everyone will benefit.
