Americans continue to delude themselves by repeating lies in the mirror saying
that they are free when they are enslaved by the Patriot act and can have their
civil rights taken away without even the stroke of a pen.
The American education system turns out brain dead morons who repeat a false
mantra of rights when in fact they are just cannon fodder for the army and
street gangs who thrive everywhere in their cities.

So very true! Seeing as they are so jealous of the fact that there are more
life opportunities in the USA than anywhere else in the world.
I'm afraid I can't say the same for Australia. It's a wonderful country,
great weather, friendly people, but the amount of social meddling is not to
my liking, far too many interferences in my life, what sort of pet I'm
allowed to keep (within reason, but Australia's wildlife laws are made by
profiteering cocksuckers), that if my home is invaded that I have to give
the crims what they want, that I cannot legally defend myself with any
meaningful measure...and that's not to say that anyone would disagree with
me, either.

Since the diiscussion seems to be about the merits of other countries and
cultures, I might take this opportunity to comment on the recently published
'quality of life' measures of the countries of the world.
According to the reports Ireland comes out tops!!!!
Wow - sort of makes you wonder how they measure and what they measured - and
why so many of the Irish migrate to seek a better life elsewhere.
I am NOT having a shot at the Irish - I would really like to know about the
positive aspects of life in Ireland - mostly we just hear about the bombings
and burning tyres around peoples necks and kneecapping and stuff - so there
must be lots of good stuff to make up for that sort of living in constant
fear.
Any Irish read this newsgroup?

You nave Northern Ireland mixed up with the Republic of Ireland ( The
South). While the Irish have a past history of migration to other
countries, this is no longer true with many having returned home in
recent years. The place is booming and is now referred to as the "Celtic
Tiger"

I'm a "Lefty" and I was born in the USA. I'm not pissed off about
anything. I did get out when I had the chance and now I live in what

medical care is better (affordable and accessible). The weather is
better (windows can be left open year round). The stress levels are
much, much lower. People are more friendly and neighborly. I had a
GSM cell phone line before is was widely available in the US. The
women are so much better looking (not many of those lard asses you see
in a typical US mall). People in general are healthier and more fit.
The list goes on and on. So enjoy your delusion while you can. It
won't be too long before your standard of living craters and you won't
think you live in such a great place.
